New Creation

New
Twelve years had taken their toll.
Money, dignity and hope
Evaporated
She found herself among the crowd,
Carried along by clamour and crush.
She reached out
And through dust and tears
And knowing
Old things passed.
Even before the question
And the trembling silence
Possibility
Began to take shape in her heart.
But it was in words of
Tenderness
And peace
She realised
All things had become new.
